MM News   June 11, Mike Savage, Mayor of Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia, Canada, Mr Jason Guidry, Director of Trade Investment & International Partnership and Prof. Pu Zhiyu, the President Assistant of Saint Mary's University visited MM Law Firm, and Dr. Wu Youming, director of MM and Ms Jane Li, Partner of MM received them. Both sides had very friendly conversations with each other. Dr. Wu introduced to the visitors the latest business momentum as well as exchanges with counterparts in Halifax. Mayor Savage delivered best greetings from Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil and John Young, partner of BOYNE CLARKE, and his wish for close cooperation tie between MM and local counterparts in Halifax in serving the economic, trade and cooperation relationship between Zhuhai and Halifax.

In September 2015, Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil and his delegation paid friendly visit to MM, and attended the Signing Ceremony of Strategic Partnership MOU between MM Law Firm and BOYNE CLARKE LLP, a renowned law firm in Halifax.

Background Information: Halifax (哈利法克斯) is the capital city of Nova Scotia, Canada and the second largest natural ice-free harbor in the world and also a major economy centre in Atlantic Area. In 1996, Zhuhai and Halifax started the exchange with mutual visits of governmental officials on both sides, and such friendly exchanges are even stronger in education, economy and trade areas, etc. On June 13 2017, Mayor Savage and his delegation visited Zhuhai, and reached consensus with Zhuhai Municipal Government on building sister-city relationships between Halifax and Zhuhai. June 12 2018, Mayor Savage and Mayor Yao Yisheng, Zhuhai formally signed Agreement Establishing Sister-city Relationships.
