MM LAW FIRM NEWS On November 23rd, 2017, Zhuhai Business Forum—Conference on Overseas Investment Strategy of Going Global was held by Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and Zhuhai Bureau of Commerce at Xingguang Conference Centre of Zhuhai Holiday Resort Hotel. The forum intends to respond actively to Belt and Road Initiative, guide the enterprises to efficiently carry out M&As and help reducing the risk of overseas investment and accelerating the “Going Global” pace of enterprises.
Ms. Jane Li, partner of MM Law Firm, was invited to give a lecture on “Eight Traps in Overseas M&As” at the forum. Based on typical overseas M&As cases advised by MM Law Firm, Jane illustrated to the enterprise representatives how to guard against legal risks in overseas M&As from eight aspects including the foreign investment restrictions, stock ownership structure, and stock ownership registration and provided pertinent and practical legal tactics in favor of “Going Global” of Guangdong enterprises.
